Pablo’s Peanut Butter Facts

Published on January 22, 2016

Howdy friends!

How has your week been? We’ve been hiding from the elements and staying inside in the warm.

If somebody needs to make a run to the shops for some candy, we play cards and the loser has to head outside and face the cold! I don’t mean to brag, but I haven’t lost yet…

Sunday 24th January is Peanut Butter Day, so we’re inviting roomies to have a Peanut Butter Flutter (I’m really proud of that rhyme) on the site right now!

We love Reese’s chocolate goodies, but we ordered a few too many hampers this week. Hey. we might love candy, but we have our limits too.

Anyway, we decided to give away five to our friends in our Peanut Butter Flutter. To enter, you just need to play at the Circus and earn tickets. Head to the promotions page for more details.

To get you in a nutty mood, I thought I’d write about my favourite peanut butter facts. You might be surprised at just how interesting a simple spread can be!

Aside from being a very big word, Arachibutyrophobia is the fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth. Yes, it’s a legit phobia!

Some people are so crippled by this fear, they refuse to try peanut butter at all. A life without peanut butter? Must be horrifying to some people!

There is a jar of peanut butter in 94% of homes in the USA

Mad, right? According to the American National Peanut Board, 94% of American homes have at least one jar of peanut butter in a cupboard or pantry somewhere.

Peanut butter has saved lives

It’s true! RUTF is a fortified version of peanut butter which helps feed malnourished children in third world countries by giving them all the nutrients and vitamins they need.

Many companies in America also hold yearly drives to collect jars of peanut butter to help support food banks.

Go peanut butter!

Team Smooth or Team Crunchy?

Smooth or Crunchy? It’s an age-old argument.

Well, in 2013, Survata published a consumer survey which showed that 57% of the audience polled preferred smooth.

According to the incredibly important research, people over 45 tend to prefer crunchy, while younger peanut fans tend to be Team Smooth.

Can’t we all just get along?

Most peanut butters are vegan and gluten-free

Peanut butter for everyone – hooray!

Peanut butter goes with ANYTHING

Seriously, you could have peanut butter in your breakfast, lunch and dinner.

There’s a whole bunch of peanut butter recipes on the internet, so get out there and start experimenting.

Why not try adding peanut butter to your next meal? You could create a new taste sensation!

Well, are you impressed? Betcha didn’t know peanut butter was so interesting.

Are you a peanut butter nutter? Are you Team Smooth or Team Crunchy? Let me know in the comments below!

Till next time friend!

Pablo’s Best Dance Moves

Published on January 15, 2016

Hello friends!

It’s been another busy week here at the Circus. I’ve been swooping and soaring all over the place, rescuing cats and wearing my underwear outside of my trousers.

Of course, I’ve also been heroically delivering cashback to all my roomies! You can still get involved this weekend – head to the promotions page to find out more.

Did you enjoy our baking special over the weekend? We did, but we probably enjoyed it a little too much…

So, to burn off those extra calories, we’re going dancing all weekend!

Head to the promotions page right now and see how you can get involved in the fun.

Before that though, I wanted to teach you some of my bestest moves, so you can join in too! Pull any of these out at a party and you’re guaranteed to impress.

The Lion

pablo lion-01

The Lion is simple to use, but difficult to master. Basically, you pull both arms up and pull a scary face.

Dancing is fun though, so don’t go too scary! There’s nothing worse than emptying the dancefloor by pulling off a terrifying Lion move.

Oh yeah – the costume isn’t necessary. If you can work a quick clothes change into your routine though… Go for it!

The Running Nut

skipping pablo-01 (1)

You’ve probably heard of the Running Man, right?

Well, this is my twist on that classic move. You simply skip/run around the room as happy and carefree as can be.

You might get some funny looks at first, but don’t panic. Nobody can resist The Running Nut when the party gets going!

The Leaping Five

Pablo friends-01

Be warned – this one needs a dancing friend!

Simply face your partner, jump in the air simultaneously, kick your legs behind you and high-five. Congrats, you’ve mastered The Leaping Five!

Just don’t miss and accidentally high-five your buddy in the face… That can be awkward.

The Fanning Nut

Winner pablo-11

Keep this between us… But I created this move completely by accident.

Dancing is hard work and it can leave you all hot and bothered. Once, after some particularly energetic moves, I started fanning myself and for whatever reason, it caught on.

Fan yourself with your hands to the music and you’ve got a guaranteed crowd pleaser going. Disco Inferno indeed!

The Rocket Nut

Ah, the grand finale to all my routines!

This move isn’t for the faint-hearted. You leap like you’ve been fired from a cannon, stick your legs together, stretch your arms out and soar through the disco air!

It’s the coolest move around… Until you hit the floor and feel a bit sore in the morning. Still, for those two seconds or so, you’ll be the most daring nut on the dancefloor.

Phew, I’m knackered! That’s pretty much all my best moves – now get out there and put them to good use.

I’m going to run a bath for my aching limbs now…

See you next time friend!

Pablo’s Nutty Baking Tips

Published on January 8, 2016

Howdy friend!

Christmas is officially over and the Santa suit has been washed and locked away.

Don’t be glum – December is only eleven months away! Santa will be back before you know it.

Getting out of that thing was a bit of a struggle though… That fifth helping of candy was just too good to miss though.

So, we’re on a bit of a health kick at the Circus right now. It’s all fruit and water for a week or two!

Speaking of which, did you see our Fruity Resolution promotion? We’re giving away a buncha free spins to roomies who play Freaky Fruit, Fruit Abduction and Fruit Shop this week.

It ends Sunday, so there’s still time to get on the leaderboard and earn yourself some freebies!

We’ve also become obsessed with baking this week. I’ve been cooking up something special for the weekend, so keep an eye out.

Until then, I decided to open up Pablo’s Kitchen and share some of my nuttiest baking tips!

When you’re baking and cooking for an entire Circus, you learn quite a few pro tricks. Here are a few of my favourites.

Always, always lick the spoon clean

You’ve been working for ages on your latest creation and it’s almost finished.

Why let any of it go to waste? Lick that spoon clean and make sure none of your hard work goes unappreciated.

Look like an expert with Microwave Mug Cakes

One of the best things about baking is wowing everybody with your finished product.

Microwave mug cakes are really quick and easy to make. They also taste great! The clowns swear by them.

You can push an additional sweet treat like cream into the center to really steal the show too.

Who knew being a baking expert was so easy?

Be kind to your nuts

I personally can’t see the appeal, but humans seem to love the taste of nuts!

Sprinkling nuts into your recipe can be a great way of adding variety, so experiment and see what works for you.

Just be kind to them, please? Tell them a joke or something. Us nuts love a good joke!

Don’t be afraid to get messy

They say a tidy workspace makes for a tidy mind.

I don’t agree! I think hard but satisfying work should be messy. Yeah, you might have to spend some time cleaning up afterwards, but your bake will be worth all the effort.

Get creative with it

Making the same recipe over and over and over again can get a little boring.

Why not try mixing up the ingredients and adding something new? Why not try a new shape or style? Why not bake a cake in the shape of your favourite peanut?

Make more than you need

Ah, probably my favouritest tip of all!

Make far more than you need and you’ll always have something tasty to enjoy in the fridge. Plus, your handiwork will be on display for a few days more.

Well, that’s all the tips I can share with you. I can’t teach you all of my secrets…

If you feel inspired to create something this weekend, share it with me. I’d love to see your creations come to life!

See you next time friend!

Pablo’s 2016 Predictions

Published on January 1, 2016

Hello friend – HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Did you have a good Christmas? We sure did.

We were dead busy over the festive period, as you’re no doubt aware. Still, we managed to finish off some pretty exciting projects.

Circus Bingo is now available on the iOS App Store! Yay! If you play on an iPhone or iPad, download the app and Circus thrills will literally be a tap away.

Pablo’s Nuts (starring one incredible handsome nut) is also now available on Facebook. Just search for the game or visit the Circus Bingo page to play all day!

In preparation for 2016, I’ve been gazing into my crystal ball. It was a bit dusty, but I’m pretty sure it still works fine.

Anyway, I’ve come up with these predictions for 2016 and every single one will happen. Without fail. Promise!

Apple will release the iPhone 7

And in a pretty shocking turn of events, it won’t actually have a screen! Instead, it shoots information directly into your mind.

Sounds pretty weird… But we’re living in the future now!

Phil Mitchell will take up ballet

Eastenders fan? Of course you are.

Well, spoilers ahead – hardman Phil Mitchell will actually fulfil his lifelong dream of becoming a ballet dancer in an upcoming storyline. I’m so happy I could cry!

Pixar will make a new film called A Nuts Life

Starring me, of course.

What? It’s in the crystal ball, so it must be true!

I’ll also be appearing in Celebrity Big Brother 2016

Busy year!

Eating frozen will become the new food trend

Ready meals are set to become a thing of the past in 2016 as the world embraces the power of frozen.

Why wait for things to defrost when it’s easier just to eat them frozen?

Yes, it sounds weird now, of course it does. Just you wait though!

Everybody will start wearing monocles again

Finally! I’ve been keeping my grandnut’s monocle handy for years!

Yes, in 2016, men and women will all start wearing monocles. I hear Google is working on a super high-tech version already.

Better run to the shops before they run out! This is one trend you do not want to miss out on.

Circus Bingo will take over the world!

I’ve been working on my plans for world domination for years now and next year, I will finally put them into action.

Oh, of course, I’m only joking… Or am I?

Some people don’t believe in fortune tellers, but I think I’ve just proved that some nuts do still have the gift.

Anyway, that’s about all I have time for this week. Enjoy New Year’s Day and look forward to even more Circus fun in 2016!

See you soon!

Merry Christmas from Circus Bingo!

Published on December 25, 2015

Hello friend – MERRY CHRISTMAS!

The big day is finally here and Santa has already been! I hope you got exactly what you wanted!

Of course, Santa Pablo has been working hard all December. My Christmas Giveaway is almost over though, so I’ll finally be able to relax a little.

Pablo's Christmas Giveaway

Don’t cry though – I have one final surprise for you!

Today, I’m giving away cash prizes to one hundred players. That’s right, I’m handing out cash to one hundred lucky roomies today.

Hopefully, you opted in early and you’ve been enjoying nearly a whole month of giveaways. Make sure you let me know what you won in the comments below!

Don’t worry, I might be changing out of my Santa suit soon, but I’ll still be the same generous nut. I’ve got loads planned for the New Year, so make sure you check the site’s promotions page regularly.

Anyway, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We need to make the most of Christmas while it’s still here!

What are your plans today? Are you celebrating with your nearest and dearest?

In the morning, I’ll be handing out presents to everybody at the Circus. Some of the younger members still believe in Santa though, so keep that between us.

Thankfully, shopping for everybody was really easy this year.

The elephants can’t really ask for anything, but they always seem happy when I get them a new ball to play with.

I took the Clowns to see the new Star Wars film last week too, so I’ve gotten them toy lightsabers to play with. I might live to regret that one though…

After we’ve cleared everything away, it’s time for my favourite part – the food!

Nobody at the Circus can really cook, but that’s okay. Our Christmas lunch is made up of the bestest two foods in the whole world – popcorn and candy!

Everybody’s usually tired after eating, so we all settle down to watch a festive flick. I wrote all about my favourite Christmas films last week, so make sure you go back and read it.

Of course, the bingo fun doesn’t stop for Christmas.

My tech nuts will make sure everything runs smoothly, so you can break away from it all and enjoy your bingo on Christmas.

I also need to plan a January getaway for my World Tourdo you have any travel recommendations for me?

Anyway, I’ll let you get back to your Christmas celebrations.

Everybody here at Circus Bingo hopes you have a Merry Christmas and the bestest New Year ever.

Look out for my next blog post where I’ll be discussing New Year celebrations and what you can look forward to in 2016.

See you then!

The 10 Bestest Christmas Films Of All Time Ever

Published on December 18, 2015

Howdy friends!

Christmas is so close now, we can almost taste it. Being a ringmaster and Santa at the same time is quite hard, but I’m starting to enjoy it.

We’ve been handing out presents all month long to our roomies and we love hearing about your big holiday winsleave a comment below and I’ll read your stories out at the morning huddle, promise!

Anyway, I’ve been doing loadsa Christmas “research” to make sure I’m the best Santa I can be.

Basically, I sat around for ages watching every Christmas film there is and I’m going to share my festive favourites with you.

If I’ve missed your favourite, please let me know!

The Polar Express

I love a good animated flick, especially when they’re snowy and leave me feeling warm inside!

The Polar Express follows a boy’s train journey to the North Pole and is a great film for the whole family.

It’s got elves, reindeer, a toothless boy… Everything you need at Christmas.

It’s A Wonderful Life

You can’t beat a classic!

It’s A Wonderful Life came out in 1946 and people are still nuts about it seventy years later.

The film captures the spirit of Christmas perfectly. It inspired me to become Santa this Christmas and start Pablo’s Christmas Giveaway.

Love Actually

Keep it between you and me, but under my tough peanut shell, I’m a real softie at heart.

Christmas is a time for romance and Love Actually is the ultimate Christmas romance film! It has an all-star cast too – how can you not love the likes of Bill Nighy, Keira Knightley and Colin Firth?

Nothing wrong with a Christmas guilty pleasure, right?

Released back in 1988, Scrooged is a retelling of Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol.

Bill Murray is a firm favourite with the Clowns and I love the sing-a-long finale! I’ve been trying to teach it to some of the animals at the Circus, but it’s not going very well…

Anyway, this legendary film is bound to be on TV at some point over Christmas and you’d be nuts to miss out!

The Muppet Christmas Carol

Here’s another retelling of Charles Dickens’ festive novel, although that’s pretty much all they have in common.

The Muppet Christmas Carol is a firm favourite with one nut here at the Circus and he threatened to throw a Christmas fit if I didn’t include it.

I’m not really sure what a Christmas fit is exactly… So I thought it was better to be safe than sorry!

The Snowman

There’s a secret saying at the Circus – it isn’t Christmas until you’ve seen The Snowman.

Okay, that’s not a real saying, but I’m trying to make it stick.

We also tested a new game where people would come to the Circus and fly with a snowman. The tests went… pretty horribly, to be honest.

It was probably a bad idea to try it in the summer, really…

The Nightmare Before Christmas

We love Christmas and we love Halloween at the Circus, so The Nightmare Before Christmas is right up our alley.

Unlike me, Jack Skellington doesn’t make a good Santa. He does help save Christmas in the end though, so I can forgive him!

Jingle All The Way

Jingle All The Way is all about a father desperately trying to get the hottest toy around for his kid. I think a lot of roomies can relate to that!

Happily, everyone at the Circus is fairly easy to please. We’re suckers for candy canes and popcorn here, so getting something good for Secret Santa is really easy!

Elf is another film that is sure to put you in the Christmas spirit while cracking you up.

I thought about dressing up as Buddy for the holiday season, but something about the Santa suit just feels right on me.

I’m sure Buddy would be happy about my mission to spread Christmas cheer though!

Home Alone

The final film that I always have to snuggle down and watch every December is Home Alone.

One year, the Clowns decided to copy Kevin from the film and started laying traps everywhere. All they did was catch themselves though, which made it extra funny!

If you think being home alone is scary, you should try running a Circus on your lonesome! It’s hard work.

Well, friend, I think that’s my whole list. Remember, if I’ve missed your favourite, let me know and I’ll get it on the Circus Christmas Movie playlist!

See you soon!
